Wabi Sabi

Wabi-Sabi

Wabi Sabi is a Japanese aesthetic concept that values the beauty and profound spirituality found in simplicity and imperfection. It consists of the following two elements

-Wabi: Refers to finding joy and spiritual richness in situations from an optimistic perspective, seeing beauty in what is lacking. It represents a pursuit of simple, unadorned beauty, valuing inner fulfillment and mental satisfaction over material wealth.

- Sabi: Refers to the beauty and charm that come from the passage of time and the aging process. It appreciates the unique beauty of objects and nature as they change and mature over timeWabi-sabi is deeply rooted in traditional Japanese culture, including tea ceremonies, garden design, and ceramics.

> Our commitment

We use STG silver 925. One of the characteristics of STG silver 925 is "oxidation." Over time, oxidation progresses due to various factors, changing its appearance. We view this change as a "beauty" created by the passage of time and are committed to using STG silver 925.

>Design

Following the Japanese traditional aesthetic concept of wabi-sabi, the design is kept simple. Additionally, we value the "imperfection" created by handcrafting each piece. We believe that the beauty of wabi-sabi is not about intentional imperfection but about the accidental imperfections that hold an artistic aspect. We consider the production process as a passage of time and focus on expressing slight, unplanned imperfections that arise. Moreover, by giving volume to the designs, the "scratches" and "dents" that occur from spending time with the owner become attractive features. As the jewelry spends time with the owner, it becomes closer to completion, turning into an original, one-of-a-kind piece unique to the owner.

>Expression of beauty as jewellery

In addition to expressing the concept of wabi-sabi, all products in the wabisabi collection feature 9ct yellow gold, and some also include ocean diamonds to enhance their beauty as jewelry.

>Finishing

All products in the wabisabi collection undergo a mirror finish once, followed by a fine satin finish, achieving a subdued yet slightly lustrous finish.
